ستغفار دل کی سلامتی اور صفائی کا ذریعہ ہے۔کیونکہ حضرت ابو ہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا:’’ان العبد اذا أخطا خطیئة نکتت فی قلبه نکتة سوداء ،فان هو نزع واستغفر وتاب،صقل قلبه ‘‘(رواہ الترمذی)’’جب انسان گناہ کرتا ہے تو اس کے دل پر سیاہ نکتہ لگا دیا جاتا ہے،اگر انسان اس گناہ کو چھوڑ دے اور اس پر توبہ واستغفار کرے تو اس کے دل کودھو کر چمکا دیا جاتا ہے۔‘‘ حضرت شداد بن اوس روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جو شخص یقین کامل کے ساتھ صبح کی نماز کے بعد سید الاستغفار پڑھے گا ،اگر اسی دن شام سے پہلے پہلے مر گیا تو سیدھا جنت میں جائے گا،اسی طرح جو شخص یقین کامل کے ساتھ مغرب کی نماز کے بعد سید الاستغفار پڑھے گا ،اگر اسی رات صبح سے پہلے پہلے مر گیا تو سیدھا جنت میں جائے گا۔سید الاستغفار یہ ہے: `اللھم أنت ربی لااله الا أنت،خلقتنی وأنا عبدک ،وأنا علی عهدك ووعدک مااستطعت،أعوذبک من شر ما صنعت ، أبوء لک بنعمتک علی وأبوء بذنبی ،فاغفرلی فانہ لا یغفر الذنوب الا أنت [رواہ مسلم] ’’اے اللہ تو ہی میرا رب ہے ، تیرے علاوہ کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں،تو نے مجھے پیدا کیا اور میں تیرا بندہ ہوں اور تیرے عہد اور وعدے پر قائم ہوںجس قدرطاقت رکھتا ہوں،میں نے جو کچھ کیا اس کے شر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں،اپنے آپ پر تیری نعمت کا اقرار کرتا ہوںاور اپنے گناہوں کا اعتراف کرتا ہوں،پس مجھے بخش دے کیونکہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی گناہوں کو نہیں بخش سکتا۔‘‘ زير تبصره كتاب ’’ استغفار وتعوذ فضائل وثمرات ‘‘ اشاعت کتب کے انٹرنیشنل ادارے ، دار السلام کے سکالر زکی مرتب شدہ ہے ۔ اس کتاب کے پہلے حصے میں میں انہوں نےاستغفار کی اہمیت وضرورت، استغفار کی قرآنی ونبوی دعائیں ، استغفار کے مستحب اوقات ومواقع ،استغفار کے فوائد وثمرات کو بیان کیا ہے اور دوسرے حصے میں تعوذ کی ضرروت واہمیت ، قرآنی تعوذ تعوذ کےمستحب اوقات کو قرآن واحادیث کی روشنی میں آسان فہم انداز میں پیش کیا ہے -

There are many dictionaries concerning many fields of life, but we do not yet have an explanatory dictionary regarding Islamic terms. So we tried to fill that gap with this dictionary and hopefully give the Readers a sufficient ground towards a better understanding of Islam. -
چونکہ بہت سے مسلمان عربی زبان نہیں جانتے اور نہ ہی اُنہیں زندگی میں باقاعدہ عربی سیکھنے کا موقعہ ملتا ہے، اسی لیے وہ مختلف تراجم کی طرف رخ کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن ترجموں میں بھی بہت سی مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ اسی لیے یہ ڈکشنری ترتیب دی گئی ہے کہ قاری کسی بھی مشکل لفظ کا با آسانی معنی جان سکے اور اپنے علم کی پیاس بجھی۔ Since the majority of the followers of Islam are not native speakers of Arabic, and many of them may not have the chance to learn it properly, translation has been resorted to, and however incomplete it may be. But even good translator always finds it difficult to translate the special terms from Arabic. A cursory look at the translation of various Islamic works would reveal the discrepancies between the Arabic text and its translation, on one hand, and the different renderings of the same Arabic terms by different translators or even by the same translator at different times. This dictionary is the solution to these problems.a

The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely [Anfal]. سلام مسلمانوں سے صرف دو باتوں کا مطالبہ کرتا ہے۔ پہلی یہ کہ اس کے دل کا یقین ٹھیک ہو، یعنی وہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے علاوہ کسی کو اپنا معبود، مسجود، مقصود، مشکل کشا اور حاجت روا نہ مانے۔ اور دوسری بات یہ کہ اس کی پوری زندگی حسن عمل کی آئینہ دار ہو، یعنی وہ ہر قسم کے شرک و بدعت سے بلکل پاک ہو، اور اُس کے ہر کام اور اقدام میں سنت رسول اللہ ﷺ کا نو چمک رہا ہو۔ امام ابن تیمیہ اسلام کی ان مایہ ناز ہستیوں میں سے ایک ہیں جو ہمارے دین ، ہمارے علوم، ہماری تہذیب اور ہماری تاریخ کا وقار اور اعتبار تھے۔ انہوں نے ایک طرف تاتا ریوں کے خلاف علم جہاد بلند کیا اور دوسری طرف اپنے علوم عالیہ سے مسلمانوں کی فکری صحت و سلامتی کا عظیم الشان کام انجام دیا اور طرح طرح کی فکری گمراہیوں اور بدعتوں کا سدِ باب کیا۔ امام موصوف کی معروف کتاب `اقتضاع الصراط المستقیم` ان کی انھی نادر خوبیوں کا مرقع ہے۔ یہ کتاب ایک طرف اللہ کی ذات عالی پر ایمان کو مضبوط بناتی ہے اور دوسری طرف مسلمانوں کو ہر قسم کی فکری لغزشوں اور عملی گمراہیوں سے خبردار کر کے ان پر قران و سنت کی راہ روشن کردیتی ہے۔ اس کتاب کی اسی اہمیت کے پیش نظر `دارالسلام` اسے اُردو کے قالب میں `فکر و عقیدہ کی گمراہیاں اور صراط مستقیم کے تقاضے` کے عنوان سے پیش کر رہا ہے۔ زندگی کو صحیح معنوں میں اسلام کے مطابق بنانے کے لیے اس کتاب کا مطالعہ ضروری ہے۔
