`اسلام کی نظر میں وضع کی درستی اصلاح قلب کا لازمی جزو ہے۔ یہ تو ہو سکتا ہے کہ وضع درست ہو اور دل درست نہ ہو لیکن یہ ممکن نہیں ہے کہ دل درست ہو اور وضع پر اس کا کچھ اثر نہ پڑے۔ اصلاحِ وضع میں داڑھی کو خاص اہمیت حاصل ہے۔ داڑھی کا رکھنا دل کی ایمانی قوت کا اظہار ہے اور داڑھی منڈوانا دل کی کراہت و نیت کی خرابی کی علامت ہے۔ جس کا دل پاک صاف ہو، وہ تو اللہ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کا فرماں بردار ہوتا ہے۔ یہ کیسے ممکن ہے کہ گنا ہ پر اصرار کرتے رہیں اور دل بھی صاف ہو؟ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صورت مبارکہ یعنی داڑھی سے نفرت ہو اور روح بھی پاک ہو، یہ کیسے ممکن ہے؟ داڑھی بڑھانے اور مونچھیں کٹانے کے متعلق رسول اللہ ﷺ نے سخت تاکید فرمائی ہے اور اس کا حکم دیا ہے۔ پس کوئی مسلمان رسول اللہ ﷺ کی حکم عدولی اور نا فرمانی نہیں کر سکتا۔ اگر ہمیں اپنے آقا ﷺ سے محبت ہے تو ضروری ہے کہ ہم بھی اپنا چہرہ اس جیسا بنا لیں۔ -

سيرت دينی موضوعات ميں سے ايک اہم تر موضوع ہے جس ميں اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ عليہ وسلم کي ذاتی اور شرعی زندگی کامطالعہ کيا جاتا ہے۔ايک مسلمان ہونے کے ناطے ہماری يہ بنيادی ذمہ داری بنتی ہے کہ ہميں اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ عليہ وسلم کي ذات، حالات، شمائل اور سيرت سے واقفيت ہونی چاہيے۔ ہر دور ميں اہل علم نے سيرت پر کتابيں لکھی ہيں۔امام محمد بن اسحاق (متوفی152ھ) کی کتاب سيرت ابن اسحاق اس موضوع پر پہلی جامع ترين کتاب شمار ہوتی ہے اگرچہ امام محمد بن اسحاق سے پہلے صحابہ وتابعين ميں سے 40 افراد کے نام ملتے ہيں جنہوں نے سيرت کے متفرق ومتنوع پہلوؤں پر جزوی بحثيں کي ہيں۔اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ عليہ وسلم کي سيرت پر مختلف اعتبارات سے کام ہوا ہے جن ميں ايک اہم پہلو سيرت کا فقہی اور حکيمانہ پہلو بھی ہے يعنی فقہی اعتبار سے سيرت کو مرتب کرنا اور اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ عليہ وسلم کے اعمال و افعال کی حکمتيں بيان کرنا۔ امام ابن القيم (متوفی 751ھ)کی کتاب ’زاد المعاد‘ سيرت کے انہی دو پہلوؤں کو سامنے رکھتے ہوئے مرتب کي گئی ہے۔بعض اہل علم نے ’زاد المعاد‘ کو فلسفہ سيرت کی کتاب بھی کہا ہے جبکہ بعض اہل علم کا کہنا يہ ہے کہ امام صاحب کي يہ کتاب ’عملی سيرت‘ کی ايک کتاب ہے۔ امام ابن القيم کی اس کتاب کا ايک خوبصورت اختصار شيخ محمد بن عبدا لوہاب رحمہ اللہ نے ’مختصر زاد المعاد‘ کے نام سے کيا ہے جسے سعيد احمد قمر الزمان ندوی نے اردو ترجمہ کی صورت دی ہے۔ امام ابن القيم رحمہ اللہ کی اس کتاب ميں بعض بہت ہی نادر اور قيمتی و علمی نکات بھی منقول ہو ئے ہيں جو ان کے روحانی مقام ومرتبہ پر شاہد ہيں خاص طور پر ص 350 پر نظر بد کے علاج کي بحث ارواح کی خصوصيات کے بارے عمدہ بحث کی گئی ہے۔ بلاشبہ امام صاحب کی يہ کتاب سيرت کے فقہی،علمی، حکيمانہ اور فلسفيانہ پہلوؤں کو محيط ہونے کے ساتھ ساتھ سيرت کا ايک مستند مصدر وماخذ بھی ہے جس کا اختصار افادہ عام کے ليے شيخ محمد بن عبد الوہاب رحمہ اللہ نے کياہے -

داڑھی رکھنے کے التزام کے لیے صرف اتنی دلیل ہی برہانِ قاطع کی حیثیت رکھتی ہے کہ داڑھی رکھنا ہمارے رہبرِ اعظم امام الانبیاء حضرت محمد ﷺ کی سنت ہے۔ آپ ﷺ نے متعدد بار مونچھیں کٹوانے اور داڑھی کو معاف رکھنے کی تاکید فرمائی۔۔۔۔ آج ہمارے ہاں جو مغرب زدہ طبقہ داڑھی مونڈنے یا کاٹنے کی لولی لنگڑی دلیلیں دیتا ہے وہ فی الحقیقت اسلامی معاشرے کے ایک اہم شعار کی توہین کرتا ہے۔ فاضل مدینہ یونیورسٹی مولانا صہیب احمد میر محمدی صاحب نے ایسے لوگوں کی گمراہ کن باتوں کا قران و سنت کی روشنی میں نہایت مدلل اور مسکت جواب دیا ہے۔ انھوں نے اپنے مخصوص درد مندانہ لہجے اور عالمانہ اسلوب میں زور دیا ہے کہ ایمان کی بقاء و استحکام کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ کے احکام اور سنتِ رسول ﷺ کا التزام و احترام ہر مسلمان کا پہلا فوری فرض ہے۔

کفارِ مکہ رسولِ مقبول ﷺ کی ہجو کیا کرتے تھے (نعوذباللہ)۔ چنانچہ اس بے ادبی کے جواب میں صحابہ کرام اور دیگر مسلمان شاعروں نے موثر طور پر آپ ﷺ کا دفاع کیا اور آپ ﷺ کے اوصافِ حمیدہ بیان کیے۔ نعت گوئی اس لسانی جہاد کی پیداوار ہے۔ مگر حیرانی کی بات ہے کہ برصغیر ہند و پاک میں ہندو کلچر کے زیر اثر بھجنوں اور گیتوں میں استعمال ہونے والے ہندی الفاظ، تلازمات اور مناسبات ، علائم و رموز اور تشبیہات و استعمارات کا استعمال بھی نعتیہ مضامین میں ہونے لگا یہاں تک کہ ہندی راگوں کی لے اور گیتوں کے انداز پر نعتیہ شاعری ہونے لگی۔۔۔۔۔ اور رفتہ رفتہ نوبت ایں جا رسید کہ موجودہ عوامی نعتوں کا اکثر و بیشتر ذخیرہ فلمی گانوں کے زیرِ اثر لکھا، پڑھا اور موسیقی کے آلاتِ محرمات کے ساتھ ٹی۔ وی چینلوں پر گایا جانے لگا ہے۔ نیز صوتی آہنگ کو برقرار رکھنے کے لیے اللہ۔۔۔اللہ ۔۔ کے الفاط کو غنائیت (Rhythm) کے طور پر مستعمل کر لیا گیا ہے، جو آدابِ نعت گوئی کے سرا سر خلاف ہے۔ جبکہ نعت اور اس کے آداب کا حقیقی نمونہ صحابہ کبار ، اہل بیت اطہار اور صلحائے اُمت کے عربی، فارسی اور اُردو نعتیہ کلام میں ملتا ہے، جس کا انتخاب اس کتاب میں موجود ہے۔ قارئین سے التماس مطالعہ ہے۔

This is the English translation of Sunan Abu Dawud (originally by Abu Dawud SulaymÄn ibn al-Ash‘ath al-Azdi as-Sijistani)) (5 Volume Set) which is published by Darussalam with commentary after each hadith. From the day he embraced Islam until the day he died, Abu Bakr As-Siddique (May Allah be pleased with him) was the ideal Muslim, surpassing all other Companions in every sphere of life. During the Prophet`s lifetime, Abu Bakr was an exemplary soldier on the battlefield; upon the Prophet`s death, Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) remained steadfast and, through the help of Allah, held this nation together. When others suggested keeping Usaamah`s army back, Abu Bakr insisted - and correctly so - that the army should continue the mission which the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) had in mind. When people refused to pay Zakaat, and when the apostates threatened the stability of the Muslim nation, Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) was the one who remained firm and took decisive action against them. These are just some of the examples of Abu Bakr`s many wonderful achievements throughout his life. I have endeavored to describe all of the above in a clear and organized manner. But more so than anything else, I have tried to show how Abu Bakr`s methodology as a Muslim and as a ruler helped establish the foundations of a strong, stable, and prosperous country - one that began in Al-Madeenah, extended throughout the Arabian Peninsula, and then reached far-off lands outside of Arabia. Throughout the brief period of his caliphate (about 2 years), Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) faced both internal and external challenges; the former mainly involved quelling the apostate factions of Arabia and establishing justice and peace among the citizens of the Muslim nation; and the latter mainly involved expanding the borders of the Muslim nation by spreading the message of Islam to foreign nations and conquering those nations that stood in the way of the propagation of Islam. During the era of his caliphate, Khalifah Abu Bakr As Siddeeq (May Allah be pleased with him) sent out armies that achieved important conquests; for example, under the command of Khaalid ibn Al-Waleed (May Allah be pleased with him) the Muslim army gained an important victory in Iraq. And the Muslim army achieved other important victories under the commands of Al-Muthannah ibn Haarithah (May Allah be pleased with him) and Al-Qa`qaa ibn `Amr (May Allah be pleased with him). In short, the victories achieved during the era of Abu Bakr`s Caliphate paved the way for victories that later took place after Abu Bakr`s death. I have tried to analyze the above-mentioned conquests and to break down the reasons why they were such monumental successes. I particularly pointed out Abu Bakr`s contributions to those conquests: His military strategy, the leaders he chose, the letters through which he communicated with them, and so on. -
